  • Developed global acquisition campaign for The NutraSweet Company’s consumer products unit for Europe and Latin America, including establishment of investment criteria, evaluation of targets, and completion of transactions.


  • Established network of investment bankers and industry consultants in China and India for World Kitchen’s goal of accelerating its market development through acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic operating relationships.

Market Analysis
  • Identified and engaged US distribution partner for privately-held Japanese consumer pharmaceutical company; included negotiated termination of previous, non-performing distributor, screening of candidate distributors, and selection against the client’s channel requirements.


  • Evaluated proposed European joint venture for major safety testing company, resulting in a business case reviewing the opportunity and a recommendation presented to the company’s CEO and leadership team.


Specific opportunity development and evaluation

  • Negotiated exclusive strategic sourcing relationship with innovative Korean supplier for durable consumer products company.


  • Evaluated two acquisitions for the European operations of Decision Insight Information Group, a private-equity-owned leader in data and decision support services for insurers and mortgage lenders.  The assignment included strategic evaluation, development of financial models, scenario analyses, due diligence planning and execution, and negotiation support.  Also advised on renegotiation of a strategic supplier relationship.


  • Delivered expansion strategy and implementation plan for agricultural biotechnology company Chromatin, Inc. to establish operations in Canada, resulting in start-up of research operations and related market development activities.


  • Completed acquisition due diligence related to World Kitchen’s purchase of Snapware Corporation, including related to Korean and Brazilian sourcing.



Transaction negotiation, closing, and related project management

  • Provided due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and transaction project management support for Talent Partners’ acquisition of a Canadian firm, expanding the international presence of its advertising talent and production support business.


  • Completed divestiture of non-strategic product line in Central America and Colombia to a Mexican consumer products company for Chicago-based World Kitchen.


  • Led acquisition program for market-entry in Italy through purchase of three product lines for The NutraSweet Company, including market evaluation, transaction negotiation, due diligence, transaction closing and business integration.
